Yes! This is an actual, FULL BIG BAND! This will be the most unique St. Patrick’s Day party in the area and not to be missed!
The players are all seasoned pros and have worked with many international, national and local artists, including Frankie Valli, Johnny Mathis, Rita Moreno, Al Martino, Jerry Vale, Robert Goulet, The Drifters, The Shirelles, Harry James Orchestra, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra and Guy Lombardo’s Royal Canadians (to name a few!)
The Dixie Swing Project melds the best Dixieland tunes with golden big band classics from the swing era. The band has a horn section featuring clarinet, alto and tenor saxes, trumpet and trombone combined with piano, bass and drums. They play tunes that are familiar to most people and they keep the energy up with bright, cheerful music that is perfect for any party or celebration and we got them for ours!
Come check out Fake Leather Jacket, LIVE on March 31st. This is one of those feel-good bands that is just plain fun in a barroom environment. Their sets are eclectic with music from bands such as Radiohead, Blur, Barenaked Ladies, Talking Heads, and Psychedelic Furs. The various band members take on different roles throughout the night. It’s an easy, no-pressure kind of act and you never know who they’ll have jump up on stage with them.
The CATBYRDS features the amazing talent of Paula Eleni on Vocals and keyboards, Greg Lebro on guitar, Tom Hankins on bass and Rob Rubin on drums.
Another great band to debut at the AmVets Post 147. You don’t want to miss this band! This is a FREE event and guests are always welcomed!
Check out a video of this band that was shot right here at AmVets Post 147… on YouTube here!
Join father-daughter duo Eric and Kacie McFadden and their full band for an evening of live music entertainment as they play for you the greatest hits from the 50’s to today!
This is a very tight band with great vocal harmonies and excellent volume control. Their music will be familiar to you and will have you dancing or at least bopping your head through every tune. It’ll make you smile and feel good. This is a great night for those who aren’t in the mood for a night of super heavy rock & roll and would rather hear some easier Stones, or Beatles or maybe some Chicago.
Admission is FREE!
We shot a video of them the last time they were at the AmVets. Check it them out on YouTube here!
Hey everyone! How’s it going? Excellent, I hope! Just wanted to let you all know that we have a brand new YouTube channel set up so we can feature some of the great acts coming through our club. We’re really stepping up the entertainment game at the club. The rest of this year is looking good and 2023 is shaping up to be really great already. There’s a lot of buzz around and about the club right now and it really seems people are excited about the place again. It’s great to see and we are grateful.
For those who missed this band live at the post, our first video upload to the new channel was shot just a few weeks ago, live at the club. The band was tight and had a great set list.
Here’s Eric McFadden and his daughter Kacie. They were scheduled as a duo this night but some friends joined them and a great time was had by all. Enjoy this cover of Saturday In The Park.
